End Times Teaching

The Bible says in 2 Timothy 4:3, “For the time is coming when people will not have patience for sound teaching, but will cater to their passions and gather around themselves teachers who say whatever their ears itch to hear.” Because we are in the end times, false doctrines and delusions do exist among congregations. This is due to false teachings permeating the Body of the Messiah, but also to the misunderstandings and lack of knowledge of true believers. In response to God’s global call “to get His House in order,” The Truth In The Spirit is armed with the Truth, which is the Word of God, to edify and reeducate the servants of Adonai. The following is our tri-fold purpose for all teaching that comes forth from The Truth In The Spirit, which upholds the tenet of The Word of God.

Revealing Falsehoods

Ephesians 4:21-25 reads, “If you really listened to him and were instructed about him, then you learned that since what is in Yeshua is truth, then, so far as your former way of life is concerned, you must strip off your old nature, because your old nature is thoroughly rotted by its deceptive desires; and you must let your spirits and minds keep being renewed, and clothe yourselves with the new nature created to be godly, which expresses itself in the righteousness and holiness that flow from the truth. Therefore, stripping off falsehood, let everyone speak truth with his neighbor, because we are intimately related to each other as parts of a body.” This Scripture makes it clear that we must first individually submit ourselves to the Messiah who is the Truth. Then, we must allow Him to reveal all falsehood in our lives (to include worldly impurities, fleshly desires and influences from unclean spirits) to be made new in Him. Additionally, we must share the truth with others, thus revealing falsehood/sin in their lives, so that we may be used by God as He transforms individuals, communities and the world.

Teaching Sound Doctrine

First Timothy 4:13-16 reads, “Until I come, pay attention to the public reading of the Scriptures. Do not neglect your gift, which you were given through a prophecy when the body of elders gave you s’mikhah (laying on of hands, hence ordination). Be diligent about this work, throw yourself into it, so that your progress may be clear to everyone. Pay attention to yourself and to the teaching, continue in it, for by so doing you will deliver both yourself and those who hear you.” Mature believers who are gifted to teach should do so regularly because the Body of Believers needs to hear the Word of God as it applies to daily life, and this from believers who continually apply the Word to their own lives and can personally testify to the goodness of the Lord.

Building Mature Believers

A portion of 1 Corinthians 2:6-10 reads, “Yet there is a wisdom that we are speaking to those who are mature enough for it. But it is not the wisdom of this world or of this world’s leaders, who are in the process of passing away. On the contrary, we are communicating a secret wisdom from God which has been hidden until now but which, before history began, God had decreed would bring us glory. Not one of this world’s leaders understood it; because if they had, they would not have executed the Lord from whom this glory flows. But, as the Tanakh (Old Testament) says, ‘No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no one’s heart has imagined all the things that God has prepared for those who love him.’ It is to us, however, that God has revealed these things. How? Through the Spirit. For the Spirit probes all things, even the profoundest depths of God.” As the day of the Messiah’s return draws nearer, God is revealing more and more about Himself, His will and His Word. Prophecies are coming to pass and God is revealing more about the Old Testament Scriptures to those of us covered by grace that we might come into the fullness of His purposes for the Body.
Believers are being empowered to teach the secret things of God, once hidden from the eyes of our predecessors but now disclosed to us so that the Scriptures will be fulfilled.
