The Purpose of The Prophetic Israel Experience
The purpose of this Prophetic Israel Experience is to reconcile two cultures that have been historically rejected but are closely related to each other. Moreover, these cultures are essential in the plan of God from the beginning and in these end-times. Only Jews and African Americans have experienced 400 years of slavery and oppression in a land not their own, an international diaspora, and a horrible global event causing the death of millions in the Holocaust and the Middle Passage. Therefore, these are not historical coincidences, but rather a revelation of an intertwined destiny and a call to operate in the Joseph Anointing.
Although some Jews and African Americans understand this, many do not because the enemy has worked overtime to divide these two cultures. Both are divided in many ways through the consistent discrimination found throughout history and the rejection simply because of one’s features and appearance. Furthermore, both communities also have a history of hurt from the other due to the belief that Jews were part of the Transatlantic Slave Trade and continued racial injustice in America, as well as the rise in anti-Semitism among African Americans.
The Replacement Theology introduced into the Church at the Council of Nicaea in 325 AD by the Roman Emperor Constantine espoused that Christians replaced Jews in Biblical doctrine and God’s Kingdom. However, it also introduced a form of discrimination that began with the persecution of Jews by the Church globally and led to the cultural assassination of many people, including African Americans. Additionally, this doctrine of Replacement Theology and the racism that resulted have caused offenses and pains between Jews and African Americans, further separating us from each other and from our call to receive the Joseph Anointing.
Ministry Founder
Apostle Markita Brooks
Markita Brooks is the wife of Hassan Brooks and the mother of Samaria and Joshua. She is also the founder and apostolic ministry leader of The Truth In The Spirit. Apostle Markita was ordained by Messianic Rabbi Eric Carlson, leader of Congregation Zion’s Sake, who serves as the spiritual covering for The Truth In The Spirit. Apostle Markita has a Bachelor’s degree in Leadership Studies from the University of Richmond. She has been trained through Kad-Esh MAP Ministry’s Global Revival Messianic Apostolic Prophetic Bible School and the Messianic Studies Certificate Degree program by the International Alliance of Messianic Congregations and Synagogues. She also leads the Company of Apostles and Prophets as well as the Ecclesia Network of Ministries. Apostle Markita also serves as the spiritual covering for 3 other ministries in Tidewater, VA, while training pastors and leaders in various other ministries as well.

Prophetess Nikkie has been in ministry leadership for fourteen years. She is the House Prophet and Ministry Leader for the Prophetic Team Ministry for The Truth in the Spirit. Over the years, Prophetess Nikkie has used her personal life and ministry as a testimony to the power of God. She always seeks to know what God’s heart is concerning a matter and will make every effort to fulfill the Kingdom message through the arts and God’s Word. As the Temple Leader for the Prophetic Israel Conference, her goal is to have the message of unity, love, and intercession to touch the hearts of God’s people through the creative arts.

Kobi Ferguson
Kobi is the Executive Director of Maoz Israel. He oversees all the operations of Maoz in Israel as well as our six Maoz Israel branches around the world.
Kobi and his wife Shani transitioned into the leadership role of Maoz Israel Ministries founded in 1976 as one of the first Messianic Ministries in Israel. They have a recording studio in Jerusalem and are working to restore the role of modern-day Psalmists in Israel and the Body worldwide. They currently reside in Jerusalem with their five children who are the second generation of native-born Israeli believers.
Shani Ferguson
Having grown up immersed in Israeli culture but also connected to her American heritage, Shani has a unique ability to unite the authenticity of Middle Eastern culture with the American palate. Shani spent two years in Bible school during the outpouring in Pensacola, Fl. and began a ministry in 1999 with her husband, Kobi. They spent some time studying music at Christ for the Nations Institute in Dallas and has led worship and recorded several albums in Hebrew and English.
Shani has a deep passion to see her people, modern-day Israelis, come to know the God of their ancestors. This passion is very apparent in the lyrics of her songs and her choice of music style that connects with Israelis. She also has a strong desire to see the Church, especially the younger generation, understand the importance of, and relate to the Israel of today.
