The Tidewater Region of America
Tidewater, VA is the birthplace of the United States. From the first landing in Virginia Beach in 1607 to the first permanent English settlement in this land at Jamestown, the US was founded on the Bible and faith in God, right here in Tidewater, VA. As each city and county in Tidewater returns to its God-ordained purpose (for which it was named), the region of Tidewater, VA will once again be a physical sign to the nation and the world of God’s dominion on earth!
God calls this region “The Waters” because it represents the God-given dominion that mankind holds in the earthly realm. As Tidewater, VA comes into its purpose and destiny, the world will see a living model of how the dominion of man—when guided by God—can move heaven and change the earth! There are “Waters” in the heavenly realm as well. God desires that “The Waters” here on earth (Tidewater, VA) would connect with heaven to receive a wave of His glory into this land! It is not just for Tidewater; it will mean the empowerment of God’s people throughout the earth!

Transformation in Tidewater, VA for Healing our Nation
The Books of Acts and Revelations make it clear that God wants His people to live and serve in unity, and He looks at us not just individually, but also collectively. The letters in Revelations were not written to individual congregations, but to cities, for all of the congregations in those cities. As we seek God to reclaim our nation, we must start first with our cities and counties, then our whole region of Tidewater, to lead the nation back to Him. Leadership of the nation is the prophetic destiny of Tidewater, VA, that has been revealed throughout the history of this nation and confirmed by national and international prophetic voices coming to this area. However, we have not arisen into our prophetic destiny to fulfill the will of God. We are called to unity and power in the Spirit. Yet, we have used only a small portion of the anointing that God has poured out upon us in Tidewater. When I, Apostle Markita Brooks, inquired of God about which of the letters in Revelations most directly applied to the Tidewater area, He revealed the letter to Sardis.
The Letter … to Sardis
“To the angel of the church in Sardis write: These are the words of him who holds the seven spirits of God and the seven stars. I know your deeds; you have a reputation of being alive, but you are dead. Wake up! Strengthen what remains and is about to die, for I have found your deeds unfinished in the sight of my God. Remember, therefore, what you have received and heard; hold it fast, and repent. But if you do not wake up, I will come like a thief, and you will not know at what time I will come to you. Yet you have a few people in Sardis who have not soiled their clothes. They will walk with me, dressed in white, for they are worthy. The one who is victorious will, like them, be dressed in white. I will never blot out the name of that person from the book of life, but will acknowledge that name before my Father and his angels. Whoever has ears, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches.”—Revelation 3:1-6.
Ecclesia Arise
As the Bride is awakened from her slumber, she can arise to be the Ecclesia (assembly of the called out ones) and join God in His work to make all things on earth as they are in heaven. The Truth In The Spirit has worked in uniting the Ecclesia for years, and now God has charged us with helping the Ecclesia to arise. Will you join us!

Prophetic Training Sessions and Roundtables are being scheduled throughout Tidewater to insure that intercessors and prophets are trained and on one accord in seeking God for strategy as we reclaim our region. The intercessors and prophets also gather to address the spiritual forces of darkness opposing God’s will for each city and to open the heavens over each city.
